Alex Hoffs is President of PSM, appointed in 2010, and SVP for Ansaldo Energia, leading the global Other OEM Gas Turbine service business. He has 25+ years of gas turbine experience and held various leadership roles in new units and service, both in Europe and the United States. Alex sits on the Industrial Advisory Boards of ASME and the UCF College of Engineering. He actively supports the Autism Project of Palm Beach County, and lives with his family in Jupiter, Florida. Alex holds an advanced engineering degree from RWTH Aachen in Germany and obtained his Ph.D. from EPF Lausanne in Switzerland. He is a graduate of Alstom’s INSEAD Executive Leadership Program.
V.P., Products & Platforms
Tim is responsible for Product Development at PSM. He has over 28 years of experience in the gas turbine industry, including 9 years at Pratt & Whitney designing military gas turbine engines, and 3 years at Agilis Group developing solutions for Solar and Allied Signal gas turbines. In 1999, Tim joined PSM and has assumed several management positions of increasing responsibility in R&D and engineering. Tim obtained his BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida.
Chief Financial Officer
Robert Danenbergs has led the PSM Finance Team since 2011, bringing with him over 10 years of executive management experience. Before moving to the USA, Robert held progressive roles within the Alstom Finance Organization, including Finance Director within Alstom Switzerland. As PSM CFO, Robert is part of the Ansaldo Energia executive finance team, contributing to the development of the PSM business direction and strategy. In his community, he is active as an advisory board member of St Mark’s School. He is a UK Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent), and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern European History from the University of London, England.
V.P., Reconditioning & Shop Operations
Chuck is responsible for PSM Workshop Operations which includes Facilities Management, Repair Operations and in-house New Make Parts Manufacturing. Chuck was one of the original founders of PSM and has been with the Company since its inception 19 years ago. He has a total of 36 years of manufacturing experience in the gas turbine industry including 17 years at Pratt & Whitney. Chuck has a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Alabama and holds over 12 patents related to metallurgical processing in the manufacture of gas turbine components.
Director, Human Resources
Gail was appointed Human Resources Director of PSM in 2014 and provides leadership on PSM’s personnel management and corporate HR strategy. With over 13 years of experience with PSM’s parent company, Alstom, she advanced to HR Director of Thermal Services for North Europe. She also served as SPX Corporation’s HR Director, UK and Ireland. Gail holds an MA of Human Resource Management from Derby University in England.
V.P., Marketing & Strategy
Jeff has been part of PSM’s Leadership team since 2001. He currently leads Global Product Management & Marketing for both PSM and Ansaldo Energia’s Power Service business. Prior to his time at PSM, Jeff was with GE for 16 years. His primary focus was in the development of advanced lean-premix low emission combustion system designs. Jeff is the ex-offiico Chair of ASME’s International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) Electric Power Committee and holds four (4) US patents focused on innovative combustion technology. He received his BSME from Clarkson University and MSME from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Director, Quality, EHS and IT
Elisabeth is responsible for Quality Planning, Employee Health & Safety and Information Technology. Previously she was the Head of Quality and EHS at Alstom Switzerland in the Gas Turbine Service Business. In 2008 Elisabeth joined PSM in Jupiter and was appointed Director of Quality and EHS in 2009. Elisabeth holds an advanced engineering degree in environmental engineering from ETH Zurich (Federal Technical Institute of Technology of Zurich, Switzerland) and obtained a post graduate diploma from PHW Business School in Zurich, Switzerland.
CEO, Ansaldo Thomassen
In 2018, Peter Stuttaford was appointed CEO of Ansaldo Thomassen, located in Rheden/Netherlands, working closely with PSM. Peter has 25+ years of experience in gas turbine design, and until recently lead the PSM Product Engineering unit. He holds 50+ patents in this field and is considered “the father” of PSM FlameSheet™ technology. As a global citizen, Peter enjoys traveling, sailing and exploring new boundaries. He started his career at Pratt & Whitney Canada, and holds a PhD from Cranfield University, England, a MS from the University of Florida, USA, and a BS from the University of Natal, South Africa.
John Soderberg was appointed Legal Director of PSM in 2011. John previously held senior in-house legal positions in France, Italy and England. Prior to joining PSM, John was Legal Director of Alstom Transport in Paris. John has been admitted to the Bar Associations of Minnesota and Washington, DC and he is a Florida registered in-house counsel. John is also a qualified solicitor in England and Wales. John received his JD degree (with honors) from George Washington Law School and his BA degree (with honors) from Stanford University.
Director of Commercial Operations
Carlos Picon joined PSM in 2014 as Director of Capture and Tendering, and has since been promoted to Director of Commercial Operations responsible for the PSM Global Product Line. He has 20+ years of Power Industry experience having started his career with Stewart & Stevenson (Acquired by GE) in the Startup & Commission division, and later the Operations and Maintenance group. Carlos has held multiple leadership roles related to international start up and mobilization projects, as well as management of sales and e-commerce divisions for energy companies in the Middle East and throughout Latin America. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science (BS), Management of Technical Operations, and Associate of Science (AS) Aviation Maintenance Technology from
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
