Alex Hoffs is President of PSM, a Hanwha company, appointed in 2010, and SVP of the Gas Turbine Service Group for Hanwha Power Systems, leading the global service business with subsidiaries in the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates and South Korea. He has 25+ years of gas turbine experience and held various leadership roles in new units and service, both in Europe and the United States. Alex is Chair of the ASME Industry Advisory Board and has been an active member of the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science Dean’s Advisory Board. He supports the local Autism Project of Palm Beach County, and lives with his family in Jupiter, Florida. Alex holds an advanced engineering degree from RWTH Aachen in Germany and obtained his Ph.D. from EPF Lausanne in Switzerland. He is a graduate of Alstom’s INSEAD Executive Leadership Program.
