Vice President – Clean Power Division

SH Cho is Vice President of the Clean Power Business Division as of 2023, a part of the Gas Turbine Service Group for Hanwha Power Systems. He has been working for Hanwha Power Systems and Hanwha Aerospace together for more than 30 years. He heads up new product development and marketing including for low duty and high duty gas compressors for LNG carriers, and international sales of air & gas compressors (integral-geared type) at Hanwha Power Systems. He has been leading supercritical CO2 system business securing the first demonstration program from a concentrated solar power customer in the U.S.

SH also has various experiences working in gas turbine related businesses when he worked at Hanwha Aerospace completing negotiations and contracts for licensing productions for ROKAF (Republic of Korea Air Force) Fighter Program, ROKN (Republic of Korea Navy) Frigate and Patrol Programs, ROKA(Republic of Korea Army) Co-Development of the Engine for KHP (Korean Helicopter Program). Regarding internal MRO (Maintenance, Repair &Overhaul) business, he made contracts with Venezuelan Air Force for their F100 engine upgrade services, with Royal Netherlands Navy for their T56 engine MRO and the United States Navy for their T56 engine component repair services.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pusan National University in Pusan, Korea, and completed an EMBA course (MS-TM) from State University of New York at Stony Brook. He lives with his family in Seoul, Korea.
