At May’s 7F Users Group Conference in Chicago, Illinois, Lawrenceburg Power—owned by Lightstone Generation – was recognized with a Combined Cycle Journal ONline “Best-of-the-Best Practices” award “…..for the successful upgrade of its gas turbines with PSM’s first FlameTOP (performance upgrade) system”. Each year, CCJOnline (www.ccj-online.com), our industry’s premier editorial publication, recognizes Best Practice award winners in nine (9) categories based on applications submitted by power producers. Lawrenceburg was selected for the “Performance Improvements” category award. Additionally, Lawrenceburg received the “Best-of-the-Best” Practices award, which distinguishes them as a standout among the other Best Practice Award winners!
Lawrenceburg Power is a customer of PSM with four (4) 7F gas turbines in 2 x 1 combined cycle application. PSM converted two units to FlameTOP in Spring 2018, and the final two units in Spring 2019 during scheduled outages. FlameTOP is a PSM upgrade that combines the FlameSheet™ combustion system with the GTOP3.1 performance upgrade, offering significantly improved output, efficiency and operational flexibility.
This is the second consecutive year in which a PSM technology-enabled project was recognized with a CCJONline “Best-of-the-Best” Practices award. Last year, Vistra Energy’s Ontelaunee facility won for “Water-wash program gives year-round benefit”, leveraging PSM Inlet Bleed Heat (IBH) technology platform implemented for the customer’s SW501F gas turbines.
