PSM and Ansaldo Energia Strongly Represented at TurboExpo 2019 - Including Best Paper Award!!!
This year's ASME IGTI's TurboExpo welcomed over 2,100 global attendees to share their progress on innovative technologies in the field of gas turbines. Almost 1,000 peer-reviewed papers were presented by industrial players, academia and government agencies.
Two outstanding papers were presented by PSM's Technology Team, one on our Advanced FlameSheet(TM) Combustion System Retrofit solution for B/E/F and G-Class industrial heavy duty gas turbines (HDGT), including its growing commercial experience and proven fuel flexibility burning a natural gas-hydrogen (NGH2) blend, plus our industry-acclaimed autonomous combustion AutoTune system, currently supporting worldwide GT operators improve their asset's reliability, part load and base load performance and operational flexibility.
Finally, PSM was awarded a "Best Paper" Award from 2018 (Award presented during this year's TurboExpo Event) by one of the IGTI Committees. The paper is "GT2018-76925 : Extending the Life of F-Class Gas Turbine Rotors", which described PSM's technically engineered approach to determining repairs and providing assessments of remaining life of rotors, in many cases well beyond OEM-recommendations. This offers the operators of these power generation assets the opportunity to continue to safely run their units, helping to improve overall maintenance life-cycle costs.
