Each summer, PSM welcomes college and graduate students to our Jupiter, Florida, facility for a 10-12 week long Summer Internship. These Summer Interns bring new skills, energy, and a fresh outlook to PSM. Each Intern is assigned a Mentor who guides the Intern’s summer with PSM. While at PSM, the Interns meet with various senior leaders for department overviews, visit a power plant, and present their final presentations to their teams and PSM leaders.
In previous years, some of the projects that the Interns have worked on have been creating fixtures for the Fuel Systems Services department, modernizing the labeling system in the off-site warehouse, creating a centralized tool that provides consolidated field hardware data, and improving the liquid spray lab setup.
Since the Summer Internship program was started in 2008, PSM has hired 9 former Interns into full-time positions. Ultimately, the goal of the program is to develop up and coming Engineers and Professionals who will continue their career growth with PSM upon graduation. This summer, PSM will be welcoming back 4 returning Interns as well as adding 4 new Interns to the program. We are looking forward to seeing the new, innovative ideas that our 2015 Summer Interns will bring to PSM!
